MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) said all Filipino seafarers aboard a vessel attacked by Houthi rebels were safe.

In a statement on Thursday night, the DMW quoted Ambassador to Bahrain Anne Louis. that the Filipinos aboard MT Sounion were rescued and brought to a safe port.

The Greek oil tanker was adrift after being hit by missiles from Houthi rebels off the port of Hodeidah on Wednesday afternoon.

All crew members were rescued by the French Navy the following day.
