A fire broke out in a 38-storey building in Makati City early Monday morning and was eventually put out more than two hours after.
The fire started past 5 a.m. on the 29th floor of Burgundy Corporate Tower located along Gil Puyat Avenue, according to a Super Radyo dzBB report of Mao dela Cruz.
Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Makati Fire Senior Inspector Eduardo Labrador declared “fire out” at 7:52 a.m.
Three individuals were given first aid by emergency medical services due to smoke inhalation.
The BFP is still determining the cause of the fire.
Aside from ambulances, nine firetrucks from the BFP and 10 others from the volunteer brigade responded to the incident.
This brought heavy traffic in the area, which stretched to Sen. Gil Puyat Avenue (Buendia) in Pasay City. —Giselle Ombay/KG, GMA Integrated News
