Attorney Annette Gozon-Valdes, Senior Vice President for Programming, Talent Management, Worldwide, and Support Group at GMA Network, as well as President of GMA Films, has been named a juror for the 2024 Asian Academy Creative Awards.
A board member of GMA Network since 2000, Gozon-Valdes has been instrumental in the network’s development into an industry leader. Her leadership roles contribute to the network’s success on both national and global levels.
As President of GMA Films, she has overseen the production of hit films including Let the Love Begin, Moments of Love, Firefly, and this year’s Cinemalaya Independent Film Festival entry, Balota. Through GMA Worldwide, she has driven the distribution of the network’s original programs across five continents and licensed over 100 titles, such as Lolong (Crocodile Whisperer), Return to Paradise, First Yaya (The First Nanny), and its sequel First Lady. Her efforts have introduced global audiences to innovative content through program syndication.
Gozon-Valdes has been key in producing groundbreaking programs like Encantadia, Voltes V: Legacy, and Maria Clara at Ibarra.
Joining her on the jury for this year’s awards are Regie C. Bautista, Senior Vice President for Corporate Strategic Planning and Business Development and Chief Risk Officer at GMA Network, and Cheryl Ching-Sy, Vice President for Drama under its Entertainment Group.
The Asian Academy Creative Awards recognize excellence in content creation and media production across the Asia-Pacific region, covering platforms such as television, film, digital, mobile, streaming, and emerging technologies.
