MANILA, Philippines — A low pressure area (LPA) exited the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) while the southwest monsoon temporarily weakened, slightly affecting areas in extreme Northern Luzon, the state-run weather agency said on Wednesday.
Weather specialist Robert Badrina of the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said that another weather system – the easterlies – has emerged and is affecting especially the eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao.
Easterlies are winds coming from the east that pass through the Pacific Ocean that carry humid, warm weather in the country.
“We can expect generally fair weather all throughout the day and hot weather particularly at noontime,” the Pagasa forecaster said.
The state weather bureau said it has not also monitored any tropical cyclone in the coming days or probably until the weekend.
Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will be experiencing isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the localized thunderstorms in 24 hours.
