MANILA, Philippines — The local government of Makati yesterday launched free online medical consultation services to over 200,000 Makati Health Plus (MHP) yellow card holders and their registered dependents.
Mayor Abby Binay said through KonsultaMD’s telehealth services, residents can access video consultations with licensed doctors as well as mental health counseling around the clock.
They can also get e-prescriptions, laboratory requests and online medical certificates.
These offerings, Binay said, are designed to make health care more accessible, especially for non-emergency situations.
“We are dedicated to continuously enhancing health care services for our residents. Through our partnership with KonsultaMD, we want to ensure that Makatizens can access medical and mental health support anytime and anywhere,” she said.
The city government said residents can access medical services by downloading the KonsultaMD app, which is available on Google Play and Apple App Store.
Once registered, Makatizens with an MHP yellow card will see a Makati health pass badge on their app, which confirms their eligibility for free services through KonsultaMD.
The local government said the badge ensures that they can access all the app’s offerings without any out-of-pocket expenses.
