THE Malabon City government has launched its “Libreng Burol” or free wake program to ease the burden of the families of deceased residents.

The chapel at the back of the multi-purpose hall along Sangciangco Street in Barangay Catmon was designated for the purpose.

“Mayor Jeannie Sandoval was doubly concerned about the extra burden the families of the deceased were encountering, especially in looking for a place to hold the wake; hence, the launching of this Libreng Burol program,” City Administrator Alexander Rosete said.

Residents can get reservation slips at Barangay Catmon Super Health Center from Mondays to Fridays, 8 a.m.–5 p.m.

For inquiries, call Catmon Super Health Center at 8-3532079 or the City Health Department at 8-2814999 loc. 1801.
