A man selling lewd videos of minors who were unknowingly filmed performing sexual acts was arrested in a police operation, it was reported Wednesday.
According to a 24 Oras report by Jun Veneracion, investigation revealed that the 54-year-old suspect, identified as Blondie (not his real name) allegedly engages in sexual activity with boys in exchange for P300.
After the encounter, he sells the videos online under the title of “Bagets Video” for P1,000 to P3,000.
“Nagkaroon sila ng sexual activities na, lingid sa kaalaman nung mga kabataan na biktima niya, ay nire-record niya at ito ay pinu-publish or binibenta niya online… Meron din mga sites na binibentahan niya and marami din yung bumibili kadalasan nasa labas pa ng bansa and meron rin na dito sa Pilipinas bumibili ng mga explicit videos na ito,” said PNP Anti Cybercrime Group Spokesperson, Police Lieutenant Wallen Arancillo.
(They perform sexual activities and without the knowledge of his minor victims, he recorded and published or sold the videos online… There are also sites where he sells these and there are a lot of customers that are often outside the country, and there are also customers of those explicit videos in the Philippines)
The suspect is facing charges of violating the Anti-Online Sexual Abuse or Exploitation of Children and the Exploitation Materials Act.
The PNP-ACG also said Blondie’s customers are also facing charges.
“Ang imprisonment niya ay most likely 6 years and 1 day to 12 years. Since ginamitan siya ng ICT (information and communication technology), magiging 1 degree higher yung penalty niya,” Arancillo added.
