Two Manila-based firms offered to provide free Wi-Fi access for several public areas managed by the Iloilo Provincial Government in a move to enhance connectivity in the province.

Craft Shack, Inc. and Artbi Global Philippine Corporation signed a Deed of Donation in the presence of Iloilo Governor Arthur Defensor, Jr. on August 29, 2024.

The three-year agreement was formalized between Defensor and representatives Charles Leighton Chianpian of Craft Shack, Inc. and Jibeom Ku of Artbi Global Philippine Corporation. Their donations include routers, devices, and other equipment.

Under this initiative, public Wi-Fi will be installed not only at the Iloilo Provincial Capitol but also in municipal halls, barangay halls, and other public spaces.

Following the signing, the Information Communication Technology Management Office (ICTMO) will assess and identify suitable locations for the installation of the routers and other equipment.

Provincial Administrator Raul Banias, Maribeth Daquilanea of ICTMO, and Board Members Rolando Distura and Domingo Oso attended the signing ceremony.
