THE Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) and iAcademy signed a memorandum of understanding to create murals along EDSA based on Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entries.

The activity was part of the festival’s 50th anniversary celebration this year. MMFF’s 50th edition was titled “Sine-Sigla sa Singkwenta.”

“We will make EDSA nostalgic through murals of hand-painted movie posters to celebrate the rich history of MMFF,” MMDA acting chairman Don Artes said.

“The artworks of our students will showcase not only their skills but the Filipino life, community, and creativity. We are excited to show that these artworks will inspire and remind everyone of the power of creative collaboration in shaping our urban environment,” iAcademy Chief Operating Officer Raquel Wong said.

iAcademy is a school specializing in computing, business and design.

The murals were planned to be displayed along EDSA, from Buendia Ave. to Ayala Ave., a length of approximately 653 meters.
