CreaZion Studios’ latest release, The Substance, hits Philippine cinemas on Sept. 25. This provocative film delves into the seductive possibility of a better version of oneself.

Demi Moore stars as Elisabeth Sparkle, a former fitness TV show host who, after being fired by the despised studio head Harvey (Dennis Quaid), stumbles upon a mysterious drug called THE SUBSTANCE. With one injection, she transforms into the stunning, twenty-something Sue (Margaret Qualley). However, she must alternate between her two selves every week, raising the question: what could possibly go wrong?

Directed by Coralie Fargeat, The Substance critiques toxic beauty standards through a blend of body horror and genre tropes, reminiscent of films like Death Becomes Her, The Fly, and Carrie.

The film, which earned a Best Screenplay award at the Cannes Film Festival, features bold aesthetics, impressive sound design, and striking practical effects.

With Demi Moore’s return to the spotlight, along with rising star Margaret Qualley and veteran actor Dennis Quaid, The Substance is expected to captivate audiences and stir discussions about beauty and identity.

CreaZion Studios, known for producing globally recognized content, is a leading film, TV, and digital content producer in Southeast Asia. Its portfolio includes acclaimed titles such as Priscilla by Sofia Coppola, When Evil Lurks by Demian Rugna, and The Breaking Ice by Anthony Chen.
