MANILA, Philippines — The leadership of the House of Representatives on Tuesday denied that there was a moveto impeach Vice President Sara Duterte.
“I can categorically say, and it was repeated to me by the Speaker this afternoon…., there is none,” Deputy Majority Leader and ACT-CIS Partylist Rep. Erwin Tulfo said.
“In the meeting with the House leadership, there was no mention [of it]”, Tulfo said in mixed Filipino and English.
“When political leaders had a meeting last night, there was also no mention of impeachment of the VP. Rather, the meeting was all about the lineup of the administration,” Tulfo said.
