OIL companies rolled back pump prices on Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2024.
Gasoline prices were slashed by P1.15 per liter, diesel by P1.90 and kerosene by P1.85.
The Department of Energy’s Oil Industry Management Bureau attributed the price drop to renewed prospects for the Gaza ceasefire talks and production recovery support from Libya’s Sharara oilfield.
Since the start of this year, the price of gasoline has risen by P7 per liter and diesel by P4.05.
The price of kerosene, on the other hand, has dropped by P4 per liter.
