The Office of Vice President Sara Duterte has proposed a budget of P2.037 billion for 2025.
“The recommended budget for OVP reflects an 8.05% increase compared to the current year appropriation [of P1.885 billion],” the Office of the Vice President said in a social media post.
It added that if the proposal is approved by Congress, it will translate to an increase of 12.39% in the number of target beneficiaries for the OVP’s flagship programs, or a total of 1,139,244 beneficiaries.
In 2024, 87.59% of the OVP’s budget was allocated to programs and projects and 12.41% to equipment and vehicles.
Among the OVP’s flagship programs and projects are medical and burial assistance, Libreng Sakay, and the Disaster Operations Center. — VBL, GMA Integrated News
