Teachers will soon receive their P10,000 following the approval of the Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) of Republic Act No. 11997 or KaP or Kabalikat sa Pagtuturo Act, said Sen. Ramon Revilla, Jr.

“There is already a guarantee that our teachers will get their P10,000 teaching allowance,” Revilla added, speaking as the principal author and sponsor of the law.

Revilla joined the signing of the IRR of the lKabalikat sa Pagtuturo Act, and hailed Department of Education (DepEd) Secretary Sonny Angara’s swift action on the same.

“We thanked newly confirmed DepEd Sec.Sonny Angara for making the approval of Kabalikat sa Pagtuturo Act’s IRR one of the first acts of his good and promising administration,” Revilla added.

The KaP Act institutionalized the grant of teaching allowance to public school teachers.

Starting next year, public school teachers will receive P10,000 for the purchase of tangible or intangible teaching supplies and materials, for the payment of incidental fees, and for the implementation or conduct of various learning delivery modalities.
