Government agents have raided a warehouse in Taguig City, suspected of selling unregistered canned goods and other food products.
The operation led to the seizure of 1,355 boxes of unregistered luncheon meat worth over P3 million, marked money, and sales receipts, and the arrest of at least four individuals, including the business owner.
The establishment was reported for operating without a license and alleged possession and sale of unregistered food products.
The SPD will file a complaint against the arrested individuals for violating Republic Act 9711, or the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Act of 2009.
The investigation remains ongoing, with SPD and FDA officials exploring further criminal and administrative complaints.
