At least P7.7 million worth of illegal drugs were found in three separate parcels at the Central Mail Exchange Center in Pasay City, according to a “Saksi” report by Joseph Morong on Wednesday.
One of the parcels found was declared as “Women’s T-Shirt” from the United States and was to be sent to Bacolod City.
It was later found to contain over 468 grams of marijuana kush with a standard value of P655,000.
Another parcel also from the US declared as “Collectible Camera Film Roll” bound for Cebu City was also found to contain 96 boxes of marijuana oil with a value of more than P5,000.
A third parcel from Pakistan with a recipient in Naga, Camarines Sur was found to contain P6.5 Million worth of suspected shabu.
The Bureau of Customs have turned over said parcels to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).
Meanwhile, a bag containing more than 1 kilogram of suspected shabu was found by two fishermen on the shores of Sanchez Mira, Cagayan that was worth more than P1 Million.
The incident followed after a packet of suspected shabu was also found near Laoag, Ilocos Norte. — Jiselle Anne Casucian/BAP, GMA Integrated News
