MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) is monitoring a low pressure area (LPA) 375 kilometers North Northeast of Itbayat, Batanes.

In the weather bureau’s early morning bulletin on Saturday, it said that Batanes and Babuyan Islands would experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the southwest monsoon affecting extreme Northern Luzon, but it is not clear if the LPA would affect the area.
