The Philippines and Korea continue the festivities in celebration of their 75th Friendship Anniversary with a national sports demonstration, featuring special performances from the respective athletes of both countries.
Titled the “Kick & Sticks: Phil-Kor National Sports Demonstration,” the event will showcase a Taekwondo performance from South Korea’s official Taekwondo governing organization Kukkiwon, which is also known as the World Taekwondo Headquarters, while the Philippine Eskrima Kali Arnis Federation will demonstrate the techniques, moves, and drills in Arnis.
The event will also feature traditional performances from Korean Cultural Center (KCC) in the Philippines’ homegrown performance team NARA as well as the Philippine Baranggay Folk Dance Troupe.
The national sports demonstration is one of the various events held by the KCC which aims to foster the relations between the Philippines and Korea through activities which showcase the two countries’ rich culture and heritage.
The Kicks & Sticks: Phil-Kor National Sports Demonstration will be held on Aug 9 at the Globe Auditorium, Maybank Performing Arts Theater, BGC Arts Center.
