MANILA, Philippines — The country will have generally fair weather Monday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.
Weather specialist Robert Badrina said there will be downpours and thunderstorms in the afternoon or at night due to the southwest monsoon or habagat.
The southwest monsoon will bring scattered rain showers and thunderstorms in Visayas, MIMAROPA (Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon and Palawan), Zamboanga Peninsula, Quezon, Basilan, Sulu and Tawi-Tawi.
The same weather system will also affect Metro Manila and the rest of CALABARZON (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal and Quezon) where partly cloudy to overcast skies would be likely.
The rest of Luzon will have isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the localized thunderstorms.
