The Philippine National Police (PNP) are set to attempt to serve a warrant of arrest against Apollo Quiboloy at the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) compound anew on Saturday morning, according to the report of Jaycel Villacorte of Super Radyo Davao.

There are hundreds of PNP pesonnel from Regional Office XI are preparing to enter the KOJC compound in Buhangin District, Davao City.

According to Brigadier General Nicolas Torre III, PNP Region XI director, they plan to use force their way into the compound on Saturday morning at 5 a.m.

Villacorte reported that thousands of police personnel have entered the compound around 5:27 a.m.

The PNP attempted to serve a warrant of arrest last June 10, 2024 againt KOJC leader, Apollo Quiboloy in Davao City.

The PNP personnel used ladders to enter the compound and this caused tension between KOJC missionaries, who were waiting outside the compound, and the police officers. 

The KOJC members stressed that the move was meant to intimidate and coerce Quiboloy.

The head of the group is facing charges under Section 5(b) of Republic Act 7610 or the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation, and Discrimination Act and under Section 10(a) of the same act.

Quiboloy is also facing a non-bailable Qualified Human Trafficking charge under Section 4(a) of Republic Act No. 9208, as amended before a Pasig court. He has denied the accusations against him. — BAP, GMA Integrated News
