The Philippine National Police (PNP) appealed to Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) Apollo Quiboloy to spare his followers from ëmotional heart aches” as authorities continue the ongoing search for the embattled religious leader inside his 30-heactare property in Davao City.
Police Colonel Jean Fajardo said during an interview with Tuesday Niu on Sunday morning on Super Radyo DZBB.
“Ang patuloy nating pakiusap kay Pastor Quiboloy, na spare his supporters, spare them of the emotional heart aches…
(We continue to appeal to Pastor Quiboloy to spare his followers, spare them of the emotional heart aches. Just give what the court is asking. We will give him the opportunity to answer all the complaints that were filed against him.)
On Saturday morning, at least 2,000 police personnel arrived at the Kingdom of Jesus Christ compound in Davao City to serve an arrest warrant on the Kingdom of Jesus Christ.
Fajardo said the KOJC members have put up stiff resistance as police attempt to search the 30-hectare property for Quiboloy and several others.
“Grabe ang resistance nila (Quiboloy’s supporters). Talagang there’s an attempt to delay the movement of the PNP na naatasang maghalughog kung saan pinaniniwalaang nandun si Quiboloy at ‘yung 4 na iba pa,” the police official said.
(Their resistance is serious. There is really an attempt to delay the movement of the PNP who were assigned to scour the area where Quiboloy and the 4 other persons are believed to be located.)
Despite the opposition, Fajardo maintained that the PNP is in the search for the “long haul” and are rotating their personnel after a 24 hour period.
According to police informants, Quiboloy and the 4 others are hiding inside the sprawling KOJC compound.
Fajardo said the authorities are not singling out any specific church: “Hindi ito tungkol sa isang sekta o isang simbahan.
“Let us remind of everyone.
(This is not a simple case of stealing, it is not a simple case – this case involves the alleged abuse of minors, who are accusing they were abused by Pastor Quiboloy.
“Pastor Quiboloy should exercise moral high ground to face his accusers in the proper forum,” she added.
Earlier, PNP chief P/Major General Rommel Marbil personally assured Quiboloy of his safety once he surrendered to the police. RF, GMA Integrated News
