IN support of the Philippine Statistics Authority’s (PSA) ongoing review of its methodologies and metrics in determining food thresholds, the National Anti-Poverty Commission (NPAC) on Wednesday raised the need to focus on the nearly 800,000 Filipino families classified as food-poor.
NAPC Secretary Lope Santos III said that PSA’s ongoing review could also help calculate the number of food-poor individuals in the country whose incomes fall short of meeting their basic food requirements.
