MANILA, Philippines — The most wanted fugitive in Quezon City who eluded authorities for seven years was arrested yesterday.
John Lester Dizon, 28, was apprehended by police along Upper Banlat street in Barangay Tandang Sora at 8:38 a.m., National Capital Region Police Office director Maj. Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. said.
Dizon’s arrest was based on a warrant for murder issued by a Quezon City court in February 2017. No bail was recommended for his temporary liberty.
On Wednesday, another wanted man was arrested in Barangay Pasong Tamo, Quezon City.
Jonathan Lansang, 42, was nabbed by operatives of the Quezon City Police District at his house at around 5:30 p.m., QCPD director Brig. Gen. Redrico Maranan said.
Lansang was arrested by virtue of a warrant issued by a Quezon City court for violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
