MANILA, Philippines — Actor Sandro Muhlach, son of former child superstar Nino Muhlach, testified on Tuesday that he was drunk and was coerced into inhaling a white powdery substance before being allegedly raped by two GMA Network independent contractors identified as Jojo Nones and Richard Cruz.
The young Muhlach appeared virtually in a Senate inquiry on the policies of television networks and artist management agencies regarding complaints of abuse and harassment. This was in response to Sen. Robin Padilla’s privileged speech on Aug. 5, 2024. Nones was present while Cruz was reportedly sick and currently confined at the St. Luke’s Hospital.
