THE Supreme Court has started to issue court decisions and press releases in the Filipino language.
The Court’s chief communications officer Mike Navallo said on X on Thursday the high court also plans to do releases in other Philippine languages.
“We’re starting to put out simplified Filipino versions of press releases of select Court decisions on Facebook and X, in the hope of reaching more Filipinos online,” Navallo said.
“Let us know what you think. We’re considering other languages, too.”
On the official X platform of the Supreme Court, the first case translated to simplified Filipino was the removal of an official of the Office of the Ombudsman, identified as Rolando Zoleta, who was administratively liable for grave misconduct, serious dishonesty, and conduct prejudicial to the best interest of the service.
Navallo was sworn in by the Court on Thursday.
