A suspected shabu laboratory was found during a search in a warehouse in Sitio Sagel, Barangay Pinol, Maitum, Sarangani on Sunday, according to the Sarangani Police Provincial Office.
In a statement, the police said authorities implemented a search warrant issued by Regional Trial Court Branch 50 in Sarangani Province against the warehouse owned by alias “Tom.”
Seized from the warehouse were suspected manufacturing equipment intended to produce massive amounts of shabu.
The complaints that will be filed against the suspect are for attempt or conspiracy in relation to the manufacture of dangerous drugs and/or controlled precursors and essential chemicals under Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
The financier of the suspected shabu laboratory was supposedly a Chinese national, according to Super Radyo dzBB’s Mark Makalalad. —Joviland Rita/KG, GMA Integrated News
