The Thai drama How to Make Millions Before Grandma Dies explores the lengths one might go to care for a loved one while hoping for a life-changing inheritance. The film will be available on Netflix across Southeast Asia starting Sept. 12, with plans to expand to more countries later this year.
The movie has already achieved significant success, becoming the highest-grossing Thai film in several Southeast Asian countries, including Indonesia, Singapore, the Philippines, Malaysia, and Myanmar.
In the film, M (Putthipong “Billkin” Assaratanakul) puts his dreams of becoming a game caster on hold to care for his terminally ill grandmother (Usha Seamkhum). Winning her favor is challenging, as she is both demanding and hard to please. M faces competition from others also seeking the multimillion-dollar inheritance, leading him to go to great lengths to become her favorite before it’s too late.
Produced by GDH 559, the film was written by Thodsapon Thiptinnakorn and Pat Boonnitipat (known for Bad Genius). This project marks Pat Boonnitipat’s directorial debut and features Billkin and Usha in their first leading roles. The cast also includes Sanya Kunakorn, Sarinrat Thomas, Pongsatorn Jongwilas, Duangporn Oapirat, Himawari Tajiri, and Tontawan Tantivejakul.
