MANILA, Philippines — Rep. Percival Cendaña of the Akbayan Citizens Action party took his oath as a member of the House of Representatives.
Cendaña took oath Wednesday night before Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez during the House’s plenary session.
Earlier on Wednesday, the Commission on Elections (Comelec) proclaimed the party as a winner in the 2022 elections.
The Supreme Court en banc, voting 14-1, upheld the Comelec’s cancellation of the An Waray party-list registration.
The country will hold midterm elections in 2025.
