Dismissed Bamban, Tarlac mayor Alice Guo tested negative for tuberculosis and will return to a regular cell, Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) spokesperson Jail Superintendent Jayrex Joseph said on Monday.
“Negative. As of 3:43 p.m. ongoing transfer niya from isolation to a regular cell for general population. Forty-four sila doon sa selda,” he told GMA News Online in a message.

Earlier, it was reported that Guo’s x-ray findings indicated that she had a possible lung infection.
Due to this, she was initially transferred to a cell for isolation with three inmates with tuberculosis.
From the PNP Custodial Center in Camp Crame, Quezon City, Guo was transferred to the Pasig City Jail at 9:14 a.m. Monday. Her convoy left the detention facility in Camp Crame at 8:49 a.m.
Due to security concerns, Guo’s camp hoped that she would remain in the custody of the PNP.
Guo’s transfer was ordered by the Pasig City Regional Trial Court-Branch 167, which is hearing her non-bailable case of qualified human trafficking.—RF, GMA Integrated News
