Coca-Cola Beverages Philippines Inc. (CCBPI) joined forces with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) in the International Coastal Cleanup (ICC) on September 21, 2024, collecting debris from coastlines and waterways across the Philippines.

CCBPI associates collaborated with volunteers from the private and public sectors, led by DENR officials undersecretary Analiza Rebuelta-Teh and assistant secretary Noralene Uy, to remove debris and marine waste at Manila’s Dolomite Beach.

“CCBPI’s role extends beyond providing refreshing drinks. As long-time partners of the ICC, we’re proud to collaborate with the government, local communities, and volunteers to safeguard our waters and build a sustainable future,” said  CCBPI vice president for corporate ad regulatory affairs Juan Lorenzo Tañada.

Tañada emphasized CCBPI’s dedication to nationwide collection and recycling initiatives for recyclable packaging, along with year-round coastal and river cleanups.

CCBPI mobilized associates from various sites, including Metro Manila, Ilocos, Abra, Laguna, Cebu, and Tacloban, with plans to expand cleanups to additional locations.

The global International Coastal Cleanup echoes Coca-Cola’s environmental stewardship commitment, highlighting the importance of collective action.
