MANILA, Philippines — Andres Santos, the contestant who joined the “It’s Showtime” “Kalokalike” segment as two-time Olympic gold medalist Carlos Yulo, met his idol.
In his Instragram story, Andres shared a photo of him with Carlos that seemed to have happened inside the noontime show’s dressing room.
Andres also shared a snapshot with Carlos’ girlfriend Chloe San Jose.
After almost a decade, “It’s Showtime’s” well-loved segment “Kalokalike” has returned.
Its initial episode debuted strongly and trended nationwide as the “kalokalikes” of Carlos Yulo, Chloe San Jose and Ruru Madrid spread good vibes to the audience.
Andres was named the daily winner after he successfully mimicked Carlos’ dance moves and gymnastics poses. He won P10,000 and will advance to the weekly finals.
