Clark Freeport—The Clark Development Corporation (CDC) hosted the inaugural Clark Business Interdependence Conference (BIC) on September 4 to promote collaboration among Freeport locators and drive economic growth within the zone.

During the event held at the Hilton Clark Sun Valley Resort, CDC president and chief executive officer lawyer Agnes VST Devanadera emphasized the significance of the forum in creating new revenue streams for businesses operating in Clark.

“The true strength of Clark lies not just in its diversity of industries but in how these industries can collaborate, support, and elevate one another. This is the essence of business interdependence,” Devanadera said.

With 256 representatives from 156 Freeport companies in attendance, the conference concentrated on advancing inter-locator trade. The morning session was tailored for senior management and CEOs, and the event featured the launch of a collective mark for products, branded with a “Made in Clark” certification.

Additionally, 33 companies showcased their products through an exhibition.

Representing Special Assistant to the President for Investment and Economic Affairs, Secretary Frederick Go, Undersecretary for Strategic Partnerships and Engagements Joee Guilas conveyed strong support for the BIC.

“This collaborative approach not only helps identify potential new revenue opportunities but also leverages the benefits of being in a Freeport Zone. We support this ecosystem approach as a way to accelerate your collective growth,” he said.

The conference also included business-to-business (B2B) sessions designed to explore potential partnerships and facilitate strategic business models. Key topics included solar rooftop solutions, which offer businesses the potential to reduce electricity costs by up to 30% through solar energy.

The BIC is part of CDC’s broader initiatives to sustain investment interests within the Freeport, foster collaboration, facilitate resource sharing, and create new revenue streams among Clark locators.
