A construction worker was hacked to death allegedly over a volleyball bet in Barili, Cebu.
According to the report by GMA Regional TV’s Cyril Chavez in “Saksi,” the victim’s widow said he was attacked by their neighbor while they were on their way home on a steep and rocky portion of the road.
The suspect surrendered to the authorities.
According to the police, the argument between the victim and suspect stemmed from a bet on volleyball.
It added that the suspect planned to kill the victim after the latter mauled him.
