MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Space Agency (PhilSA) on Tuesday confirmed the launch of a rocket from China, with debris from the launch expected to have fallen near Philippine territory.
In an advisory posted on its website, PhilSA said China launched the Long March 4B rocket from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center in Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture at 9:20 a.m., projecting that debris from the flight to have fallen approximately 243 nautical miles from the Philippine Rise and 318 nautical miles from Panay Island, Catanduanes.
