MANILA, Philippines — A residential area in Tondo, Manila was gutted by fire on Saturday, according to the city’s disaster authorities.
The Manila Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) Office said the blaze happened at 11:44 a.m. at Buildings 27 and 23 at Aroma Road.
Meanwhile, the Philippine Red Cross also reported that the blaze happened at Building 9 on the same street.

Videos from the Manila DRRM office Facebook showed the blaze obliterating the area.
The fire was raised to first alarm a minute after it was declared.
At 12:24 p.m., Task Force Alpha was declared, with Task Force Bravo being laid down at 12:33 p.m.
As of 6:23 p.m., the fire was declared under control.
Another fire was detected at Mayhaligue, also in Tondo at 2:23 p.m.
As of posting time, no casualties have been reported.
