MANILA, Philippines — Sen. Bong Go joined the people of Isabela in celebrating the 75th founding anniversary of the municipality of Luna, where he also inspected the Super Health Center in Barangay Mambabanga on Saturday.
Go also attended the town’s Bato Art Festival, which showcased the people’s creativity, culture and unique talents.
In a speech delivered during a street dance parade, the senator thanked residents for their continued trust and support as well as reaffirmed his commitment to serve them to the best of his ability.
He acknowledged the support of local officials including Rep. Faustino Michael Dy, Gov. Rodito Albano, Vice Gov. Bojie Dy, Luna Mayor Adrian Leandro Tio and Vice Mayor Lelamen Soingco as well as Mayors JP Calderon and Kiko Dy of Mallig and Echague, respectively, and boardmember Jessica Dy.
Go congratulated them for their hard work and leadership, noting the success of the town’s festivities.
As chairman of the Senate committee on youth, Go urged the younger generation to pursue education and strive for excellence.
Together with his Malasakit Team, he distributed shirts and sports equipment to residents.
As vice chairman of the Senate committee on finance, Go has supported projects and initiatives in Echague, Reina Mercedes and San Isidro.
He inspected the Super Health Center in Barangay Mambabanga, where he pledged to continue working for the construction of a similar facility nationwide.
Go said that as chairman of the Senate committee on health, he pledged to support funding for medical programs intended for the poor.
