SEN. Bong Go urged dismissed Bamban, Tarlac mayor Alice Guo to provide accurate information during Monday’s Senate panel hearing.
The hearing, conducted by the Senate Committee on Women, Children, Family Relations and Gender Equality, aimed to investigate several matters related to Guo, including her citizenship status, alleged involvement in illegal activities and attempted escape from the law.
“We are here today to find out the truth,” said Go in Filipino, urging Guo to cooperate fully. “Let’s remember that only the truth will be your ally and protect you, Ms. Alice Guo. Don’t waste the opportunity we are giving you here in the Senate. Just tell the truth.”

Go expressed concern over Guo’s evasiveness, citing the spread of various rumors and conspiracy theories that falsely implicated even former president Rodrigo Duterte.
“Because of your evasiveness, in the past until now, all kinds of insinuations, conjectures, rumors and conspiracy theories are spreading. Many innocent people have already suffered. Even former president Duterte is connected to you,” said Go.
“I don’t want to give time to the rumors, but since you are here, and you have been cited for contempt, you also do not want to answer the questions of my colleagues here — it is good that you clarify the various allegations, after all, it is not connected to your cases,” he added.
Go clarified that his intent was not to defend former president Duterte but to seek the truth, especially amid numerous legal cases and issues connected to Guo.
Guo has been accused of being a Chinese spy and is under investigation for her alleged role in criminal activities.
Despite these accusations, Guo’s responses during the Senate probe remained evasive, prompting legislators to call for her to disclose the truth fully.
“If you still intend to tell the truth here, please tell it all. Only the truth,” Go told Guo.
