MANILA, Philippines — Kris Lawrence recently shared why it’s important for artists like him to “heal” and “recharge.”
For him, visiting a holistic wellness resort like The Farm at San Benito in Lipa, Batangas brings him “back to who I really am.”
“The scenery to just be myself, comfortable rooms, and accommodating staff” are among the things that enticed him to choose the resort spa for respite amid the hustle and bustle of the city life. “Not to mention how perfect it is to create content (there),” the R&B singer-songwriter told The STAR.
“It’s really the place that brings out the best version of you. I always tell people to stay four to five days there, do a program and I promise you, you will come back a different person, an upgraded version (of yourself).”
The “energy” at The Farm is what keeps him coming back to the wellness haven which is a 90-minute drive from Manila. Kris offered, “We don’t get all this fresh air in Manila so I come back honestly to heal. Besides the nature, it’s the treatments and programs that aid in the complete healing and restoration of our bodies.
“They heal you at a cellular level which I am all about. Just being at ‘The Farm’ and taking my shoes off and grounding by the 300-year-old mango tree, stepping into the earth and recharging… I always have the best sleep at The Farm, and when we sleep it’s when most of the healing takes place.”
The “Search for the Star in a Million” former grand winner recently serenaded the guests at The Farm with his live music.
“My upcoming projects include a ‘tringle or triple single,’ starting September and that’s a monthly release until November,” shared Kris. He will also be setting up Christmas music releases as well. He is set to embark on a Japan music tour toward the end of the month and a SOULBROTHERS US Tour with best buddies Billy Crawford and JayR in November.
Meanwhile, apart from Kris, the other celebrities who recently visited The Farm were Iza Calzado, Daniel Matsunaga and Alice Dixson. Ogie Alcasid, on the other hand, is set to perform there on Sept. 21. The Farm team just welcomed a wellness expert from Hong Kong, Iris Law, as its visiting practitioner.
According to its general manager, Preet Singh, the guests, including celebrities, are drawn to The Farm because of its “unique combination of luxury, privacy, and holistic wellness.”
“The Farm offers a tranquil environment where guests can disconnect from the outside world and focus entirely on their health and well-being. The personalized wellness programs, state-of-the-art facilities, and expert practitioners create a transformative experience that is both appealing and effective,” he said.
Additionally, he said, the resort’s “commitment to sustainability and organic living resonates with those seeking a healthier and more mindful lifestyle.”
He also mentioned that this festive season, the visitors can “expect a unique blend of wellness and holiday cheer” from The Farm, including special holiday-themed wellness programs, such as detox organic farm-to-table dining experiences, and holistic spa treatments.
“The serene environment, combined with these curated activities, ensures that visitors can celebrate the festive season while nurturing their overall well-being,” shared Singh.
He added that the resort spa can be a holiday destination for families looking to adopt healthier lifestyle habits together. They will conduct creative activities for kids and also vegetable harvesting, fish feeding, duck feeding, palm origami, and organic farm tour for their guests.
“The Farm offers a diverse range of activities for everyone, including multi-generational families. These include interactive wellness workshops, functional fitness sessions, vegan cooking classes, kite flying, Christmas card making, caroling, interactive games, mini contests, tree planting, vegetable picking, and arts & crafts,” continued Singh.
“Evenings can be beautifully capped off with movie nights and sound healing sessions. For parents seeking the ultimate getaway this festive season, The Farm provides an immersive wellness experience that is truly life-transformative,” he said.
