A strong earthquake measured at magnitude-5.0 struck the municipality of Poro in Cebu at 2:53 PM on Sunday, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).
Based on its initial information bulletin, Phivolcs traced the epicenter of the quake at 15 kilometers southwest of the town at a depth of 10 kms.

The tremor was felt at Intensity 3 in San Fernando, Cebu. Phivolcs said aftershocks are expected from this seismic activity but damage is unlikely.
The United States Geological Survey (USGS) measured the quake at magnitude 5.1.
