MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Thursday unveiled the administration’s senatorial lineup for the May 2025 midterm elections
The list includes reelectionists, current Cabinet members, and former senators, among others, who came from different political parties, such as the Partido Federal ng Filipinas, Nationalist People’s Coalition, Lakas-CMD, and Nacionalista Party.
They are: Interior and Local Government Secretary Benhur Abalos, reelectionist Sen. Pia Cayetano, reelectionist Sen. Lito Lapid, former senator Manny Pacquiao, former senator Tito Sotto, ACT-CIS Party-list Rep. Irwin Tulfo, Camille Villar, reelectionist Sen. Francis Tolentino, Sen. Bong Revilla, former senator Panfilo Lacson, and Makati City Mayor Abby Binay. Not in attendance is reelectionist Sen. Imee Marcos.
The lineup is tagged as the “Alyansa para sa Bagong Pilipinas.”
“With my endorsement, my only wish is for them to maintain their loyalty and love for the country,” Marcos said in Filipino during the coalition’s convention held at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) in Pasay City.
“This is the most important quality I look for in a candidate,” he added.
