President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Friday marked his birthday by launching the “Handog ng Pangulo: Serbisyong Sapat para sa Lahat” program, which provided P3.19 billion in aid and services nationwide.
Government agencies offering services include the Department of Agriculture (DA), Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Department of Health (DOH), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), and the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).
The DOH allocated P328 million for medical expenses in 22 hospitals, while the DTI supported the KADIWA trade fairs and entrepreneurship programs.
DOLE also set aside P1.38 billion for aid, job fairs, and the TUPAD program. Meanwhile, TESDA offered 100 skills demonstrations, training slots, and free services.
Mr. Marcos highlighted affordable agricultural products through KADIWA stores and support for farmers, pledging medical services for patients in Level 3 public hospitals.
The program aims to bring essential services to Filipinos, especially those in disaster-hit areas.
