President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. emphasized his goal for accessible quality healthcare for Filipinos during the turnover ceremony of the Bagong Pilipinas mobile clinics for Mindanao on Friday.
“Ang kalusugan ay karapatan, hindi pribilehiyo. At sa bawat pag-usad ng mobile clinic, tinitiyak nating dama ito ng bawat Pilipino,” said Marcos in his speech.
(Health is a right, not a privilege. And for every progress of the mobile clinic, we are ensuring that this is felt by every Filipino)
(Through the mobile clinics and the help of the local government, we are expecting to bring medical services to areas that have long since needed attention—the Geographically Isolated and Disadvantaged Areas or what we call GIDAs)
The Bagong Pilipinas mobile clinics offer health consultations and modern medical equipment for early diagnosis of patients.
It will be distributed to over 28 different provinces in Regions IX, X, XI, XII, XIII, and the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).
“Sa mga serbisyo pong ito, mayroon tayong pagkakataong maiwasan o maagapan ang mga sakit tulad ng tuberculosis, diabetes, sakit sa bato, at iba pa,” the President said.
(With these services, we now have the opportunity to avoid or prevent illneses like tuberculosis, diabetes, kidney disease, and others)
(Because with every mobile clinic, what we bring is more than just medical service—we are also bringing dignity, trust and hope… Hope that despite their hardships due to their location, the government will reach them) —Jiselle Anne Casucian/AOL, GMA Integrated News
