The Meralco Bolts secured the no. 2 spot in Group A with a rout of Terrafirma Dyip, 124-82, on Saturday in the PBA Governors’ Cup at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.
The Bolts electrified early in the game as it outscored the Dyip, 34-15, in the first quarter. They continued to pound as they led 66-37 at the end of the first half, before charging onto the victory.
CJ Cansino had 15 points, three assists, two rebounds, and two steals, while Alvin Pasaol had 21 points and eight rebounds, and one assist as Meralco closed the preliminary round with a 7-3 card behind TNT who also had the same record.
Antonio Hester had 18 points and 11 rebounds, while Louie Sangalang had 17 points as the also-ran Terrafirma finished with a 1-9 card.
