MANILA, Philippines — The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) arrested 10 people, including six Chinese, and rescued 27 victims of alleged sex trade during a raid on an organized human trafficking ring in Pasay over the weekend.

They were apprehended along with their alleged Filipino cohorts Rochelle Magat, Ma. Jessika Buenaventura, Justin Cao and Fairudz Maguindao.
The NBI said the suspects allegedly used artificial intelligence, encryption tools and online apps to operate an illegal sex trade.
Boxes of sex toys and other sexual enhancers were seized during the raid.
The group reportedly offered the victims, including minors, to online prostitution.
Two more Chinese nationals were nabbed for booking victims through the messaging apps Telegram and Facebook Messenger.
The suspects are being held on charges of violating the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act and Cybercrime Prevention Law.
