The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council on Monday placed its Operations Center under red alert and mobilized various response clusters as Tropical Storm Enteng battered the country.
It also activated emergency preparedness and response protocols of government agencies and local government units.
The Office of Civil Defense (OCD) alerted all government agencies and areas placed under orange rainfall warning.
OCD Administrator Ariel Nepomuceno instructed concerned regional directors to ensure that response measures are effectively implemented.
Meanwhile, the Mines and Geosciences Bureau called for closer coordination among concerned agencies in preparation for the feared impacts of weather disturbances.
