MANILA, Philippines — There is no move to impeach Vice President Sara Duterte at the House of Representatives, its lawmakers said on Wednesday as they urged her to instead answer questions related to use of the funds of the Office of the Vice President (OVP).
In the third part of the interview that was supplied by the OVP to members of the media, Duterte claimed that talk regarding impeaching her was “not new,” amid an alleged plan to file an impeachment case against her led by ACT Teachers Rep. France Castro over the use of her OVP confidential funds and alleged misuse of Department of Education funds.
