The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) suspended the implementation of the expanded number coding scheme on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 due to the inclement weather caused by Tropical Storm Enteng enhanced by Southwest Monsoon (Habagat).

(The implementation of UVVRP has been once again suspended tomorrow, September 3 (Tuesday), following Malacañang’s announcement that there is still no work in government offices and classes in all levels of public schools in Metro Manila and Region IV due to the continuous rain caused by Enteng and Habagat.)

Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin earlier announced that classes in private and public schools and work in government offices are suspended in NCR and Region IV.

“Only private companies are left to their discretion to cancel work tomorrow,” Presidential Communications Office Secretary Cheloy Garafil said.

Enteng made landfall in Casiguran, Aurora late Monday afternoon.

Signal No. 2 has been raised over seven areas in Luzon.

Meanwhile, Signal No. 1 is hoisted over 17 areas in Luzon, including Metro Manila, Rizal, northeastern portion of Laguna, and northern portion of Quezon. —Mariel Celine Serquiña/LDF, GMA Integrated News
