ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines – Shabu with an estimated street value of P3.4 million was seized in a sting that also resulted in the arrest of a militiaman in Tamparan, Lanao del Sur on Tuesday.
Gil Cesario Castro, chief of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Bangsamoro, identified the suspect as Alonto Pampa, allegedly a member of the CAFGU-Active Auxiliary.
A joint team composed of soldiers and police officers arrested Pampa after he allegedly sold 500 grams of shabu to an undercover agent in Barangay Talub.
Police said the team seized from Pampa a large plastic sachet containing the illegal substance, a loaded .45-caliber pistol, ID cards and marked money.
Probers said charges of violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and RA 10591 or the Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition would be filed against the suspect.
