THE Public Attorney’s Office (PAO) has racked up a 100-percent resolution rate in handling complaints through the Office of the President’s 8888 Citizens Complaint Center.
PAO garnered the perfect rate for acting on over 100 complaints and referrals based on the 72-hour period that covered the first and second quarters of 2024.
PAO chief Persida Rueda-Acosta thanked the agency’s public attorneys and personnel who have been on the frontline in providing legal services, especially to the underprivileged.
Rueda-Acosta said the high-resolution rating only shows her office’s integrity and efficiency in acting on the people’s concerns.
“Effective, efficient, immediate and dedicated access to legal aid and advice are keys to credible and honest performance of public attorneys,” she said.
“Justice should not wait because it must flow like a river to the ocean,” she added.
