MANILA, Philippines — An effective, efficient and systematic conduct of meetings uses the proven and globally recognized Parliamentary Rules of Order, a mastery of its results in more productive meetings, deliberations, debates and crafting of policies.

To help presiding officers, members of the board and committees, the Center for Global Best Practices will host a two-session online training titled “Simplified Guide to Parliamentary Procedures for Highly Effective Corporate Meetings” on Oct. 3 and 4 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. via Zoom.

This comprehensive training will cover important topics such as how to conduct meetings and sessions; rules on quorum; order of business; debates; voting committees and their reports; rules of order and standing rules; different kinds of motions; resolutions and many more.

This program is applicable to all types of corporations and organizations (civic, profit, non-profit, private, etc.), deliberative bodies including national government agencies, local government units, GOCCs and anyone interested in mastering the parliamentary procedures – which is not taught in any school.

This program will feature Amado Formoso Maralit, the chief parliamentarian of the Senate. He is an authority who provides expert guidance on all parliamentary matters to senators. He likewise lectures and coaches chief executives, chairmen and board directors, leaders in both the government and the private sector on the conduct of meetings, sessions and deliberations. He graduated magna cum laude with the most prestigious higher law doctorate known as the Doctor of Civil Law at the University of Santo Tomas, obtained a Master’s of Public Administration at the University of the Philippines – Diliman as well as a Masters of Laws degree at the University of the City of Manila.
